About Avdex

Who We Are & Why AMP Exists

Avdex was built around one conviction: aircraft owners and operators deserve real-time visibility of their maintenance status — independent of any AMO.

Our Mission

Accountability Through Transparency

Civil Aviation Regulations require all maintenance to be logged, yet there has historically been little direction on how records are stored for long-term retrieval. Work packs held by AMOs are difficult to access and frequently lost when facilities close.

Avdex closes that gap. As an independent, objective third party, we host a centralised cloud database that gives owners, AOCs, and AMOs a single, accurate, always-current picture of every aircraft in their fleet.

"An AOC has the responsibility to ensure that the aircraft is adequately maintained — and this is impossible if the AMO holds the tracking lists. The RPA must have the latest status on hand at all times."

What Sets Us Apart

Built for Everyone in the Chain

Aircraft Owners

Complete maintenance history in your hands — not locked inside an AMO. Know the true status and value of your aircraft at all times.

AOC Operators

The RPA gets instant access to current status, upcoming maintenance, and printable statements of release — anytime, anywhere.

AMO Facilities

Eliminate time spent re-researching aircraft history. Accurate status reports mean realistic quotes and fewer hidden charges.

Regulatory Compliance

Schedule baselines are built strictly to manufacturer ICA requirements. No legal requirement is ever missed. Full audit trail included.

The Platform

What AMP Actually Delivers

A purpose-built cloud database designed specifically for Southern African aviation — not a generic spreadsheet adaptation.

Cloud Infrastructure

Servers are duplicated across two separate physical locations with four backup points. Access via any internet browser with secure login.

Schedule Baselines

Every baseline is built from manufacturer ICA publications — Maintenance Manuals, Service Publications, and ADs — not registration-based guesswork.

Usage Forecasting

AMP tracks utilisation and generates short- and long-term forecasts. Adjustable predicted usage enables multiple planning scenarios.

Document Linking

Every task links directly to relevant SBs, ADs, and inspection sheets. Technicians find what they need immediately — not after half an hour of searching.

Revision Notifications

ADs and SBs are checked daily. ICA publications reviewed weekly. When revisions are added, all linked aircraft users receive automatic change alerts.

Approved Maintenance Program

Avdex assists AOCs in formatting an AMP for submission to the CAA, using the baseline schedule as the foundation for continued airworthiness.

Enrolment Process

A dedicated expert analyst works alongside your AOC or AMO team to configure aircraft profiles and migrate existing records — so nothing is lost in transition.

  1. Review Current Maintenance Data
We assess the existing state of your aircraft records, logbooks, and any spreadsheets currently in use.
  2. Digital Logbook Scanning
Physical logbooks are digitised and reviewed so the complete maintenance history is captured in the system.
  3. Data Entry & Due List Generation
Current compliance data is entered into AMP and a full aircraft maintenance due list is generated automatically.
  4. Validation & Accuracy Check
The due list is validated against manufacturer ICA requirements to assure completeness and accuracy.
  5. Team Training
AMO and AOC personnel are trained on the platform — reports, forecasting, document access, and status checks.
